The Francis Beidler Forest

The Francis Beidler Forest is home to turtles, snakes, alligators, owls, woodpeckers, kites, hawks, 1000 year old hickory trees, cyprus trees and a variety of other things.

A 1.5 mile walkway allows visitors to enter the swamp and become a part of the environment. There are both canoe trips and guided walks available as well.
