Bull Island, reachable only by boat, has the highest concentration of alligators in the United States. Visitors are allowed to roam freely on the island. This is one of about thirty we came within about ten yards of. The island is 6 miles long and a mile and a half wide.
This section of Bull Island is called Boneyard Beach because of the many distorted trees which are located there, due to the erosion of the north side of the island.
