Bull Island, SC
Bull Island, reachable only by boat, has the highest concentration of alligators in the United States. Visitors are allowed to roam freely on the island. This is one of about thirty we came within about ten yards of. The island is 6 miles long and a mile and a half wide.
This section of Bull Island is called Boneyard Beach because of the many distorted trees which are located there, due to the erosion of the north side of the island.

100 Year Old Cabin
The 100 year old cabin is located in the Avery Creek community between Henderonsville, NC and Asheville, NC. The interior is completely refurbished with all the amenities. It's located on the French Broad river.

Dupont State Forest
Dupont State Forest is located in the Little River community of NC, between Flat Rock and Brevard. The forest contains 80 miles of hiking, biking and equestrian trails that lead to six different waterfalls and three different lakes.
Top of Bridal Veil Falls at Dupont State Forest near Flat Rock, NC. This requires a 3-4 mile hike depending on where you park. A cave located behind this section of the falls allows passage to the other side of the river.

Stone Mountain is the highest elevation in Dupont at 3620'. That makes it about 60 feet higher than Sassafras Mountain which is the highest point in South Carolina.
Getting to the top of Stone Mountain is quite a workout but the 360 degree view this time of year makes it worth the effort.
Cedar Mountain is a small mountain covered in stone and small spruce trees.
